captioned by the national captioning institute --www.ncicap.org-- >> the nationwide manhunt the suspect in a murder case hobart's of miles away, that stretched from upstate new york to northern virginia, is in custody. u.s. marshals say the man that the authorities were looking for in the killing of a school superintendent is off the streets. the murder happened last friday in buffalo, new york. anthony taglianetti was tracked down in shenandoah county, virginia. richard reeve is covering this story, and he is live in strasbourg virginia. >> we are at the very edge of the george washington national forest. this is where it is believed the

suspect was trying to make his escape. it was here, and remote fort valley road area, near strasburg, where u.s. marshals captured anthony taglianetti during a traffic stoppe. >> that would not surprise me. >> as recently as friday afternoon, taglianetti was the focus of a nationwide manhunt wanted for the murder of a 51- year-old local school superintendent in western new york state. the authorities believe that taglianetti traveled to new york and killed reed friday night. the motive? the police call it a personal matter. >> it sounded like gunshots. then male voices. >> neighbors say that reed and taglianetti's wife had a relationship.

kidnap a 13-year-old boy at a mcdonald's on colesville road. he was at the counter when the man attempted to drag him out of the restaurant, telling the victim he was a police officer. he release the boy, and he ran from the scene. the campaign trail tonight, an admission from president obama during a fund-raiser at the capital hilton. the president said the nation's economy could be in better shape. he said that fixing the problems we face takes more than one term. he also reminded the crowd about the now-infamous 47% from mitt romney. speaking of which, mitt romney said that winning a key swing state may be tough. in philadelphia, he said that winning pennsylvania would be a shock to him, but he said he will try. this was only his second visit to the keystone state in the past few months. both candidates will be preparing for next wednesday's debates.

drowning and animal at the zoo. tonight, we heard from the woman who blew the whistle on the director, and we are live at the fairfax county courthouse with more. >> the woman says she is glad that she came forward. she had been working at the zoo four years and she says something was not right. she said she felt compelled to come forth and say something when she saw what was happening at the zoo. she found a dead wallaby. >> i saw him, and that solidified it. if that investigators say that 26-year-old meghan mogensen ground the animal, found guilty of animal cruelty. mogensen has denied the charges. the woman said speaking out was worth it and she does not regret it. david conn we remember is going to the zoo as a young boy.

it will keep the unsettled weather, which we were afraid would be hanging around, well to the south. the violent weather moving off. this ripple now, and the weather front to the north that will continue to come through. tomorrow morning, the morning low temperatures up to the northwest, hagerstown, frederick, morning lows of about 50. with the light wind, like northwest wind, lingering clouds at, patchy fog especially if you are thinking about doing a little bit of sailing. north, northwest breeze, 10-15 knots. during the afternoon, the temperatures will rise into the high 60's, low 70's. sunday, a little more cloudiness, a chance way out to the west there could be some scattered showers. but certainly nothing that will interfere with anything. as i mentioned earlier, skyline
